About Us
We are proud to be an Independent Freehouse serving warming fayre and refreshing Ales. Nestled on the Southern edge of a Hamlet called Holland, just south of the beautiful Oxted and the foot of the North Downs, The Diamond Inn has been serving the people of Surrey and the tourists and journeymen for over 125 years. With a vast Garden that adjoins vast Countryside, people often remark on feeling like they've travelled to a secret place and "found a real gem!". We are only 5 minutes off the A25 but we are a thousand miles from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Visit us, Discover the Diamond!
A bit of History
Oxted, or Acstede as mentioned in the Domesday surveys, lies in over 3500 acres, much of it still countryside.
Our beautiful pub, originally 3 cottages, has one of the more unusual names for a British Inn but it was a name proudly christened following Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897.

The Garden Restaurant
Tucked away to the side of our main bar is The Garden Restaurant, aptly named from the doors that provide views onto our decked terrace and our mature grapevine, encouraging a glass of wine perhaps! You are Welcome to request a table here for Lunch or Dinner before moving through to the Garden or perhaps our more cosy main bar if the weather is being too British.
This room can host Private Functions too, from meetings, to Weddings, Christenings or Funeral Receptions, we can cater for you.

5* Fantastic pub with awesome food!
Really good local pub with friendly atmosphere and loads of space for kids and dogs. Food is very good quality, fresh and clearly made with care and kept varied with good choices on the specials board. Make sure you try the pork belly if it's on because it is amazing! Prices are reasonable which makes for a great all rounder pub.
5* Great pub, welcoming to cyclists
This a cracking little pub with a nice beer garden. I organised a cycle ride for friends and the landlady was very accommodating of my requests for flexibility on arrival time and numbers. On arrival the staff were very friendly and there was a good space to park the bikes on the terrace out of direct view from the road.
Food is good quality, unpretentious, solid grub. Most mains are less than a tenner so good value too. The place seems popular with locals and visitors alike.
We had an excellent meal with good service and very reasonable prices. The menu is not extensive which perhaps explains why the food tastes good and seems fresh. Good beer and reasonably priced wine. Just what you want for a good pub meal.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to the Diamond today with the family. Excellent menu and great quality food very reasonably priced (fab roast!). Lovely rural location with plenty of parking and room to sit inside and out. Lovely friendly welcoming staff, well worth a visit!
